A: For bathtubs and enclosures, limited use after 24 hours. 72 hours after the last coat is applied, floor tile and counters can be used. If the repaired area is used or disturbed before the prescribed cure time, the warranty is invalid.
Q: Do I have to do anything in advance of the technician showing up?
A: Yes. Before we can refinish, any leaky faucets and damaged tile or grout need to be fixed. Moreover, the water supply and drain systems for the tub need to be in good functioning order. The area should be cleared of any cleaning supplies, including soaps, shampoos, razors, toothbrushes, curtains, shower rods, hanging caddies, and photos. Take away anything that can be manipulated with a finger. Shower doors and tracks should ideally be removed before our arrival as well. Before our arrival, any fixtures that might prevent the tile or tub from being refinished, such as pedestal sinks, toilets, vanities, cabinets, or other similar items, should be taken out. You are more than welcome to vacuum the rooms and give them a light cleaning for hygienic reasons, but it is not necessary. Less surface dust will accumulate on the freshly refinished surface in a clean environment.
Q: Do bathtub refinishing and reglazing differ from one another?
A: No. Applying a fresh finish to a hard surface is what is referred to as bathtub refinishing, bathtub reglazing, tile refinishing, or tile reglazing. This is not the same as applying fresh porcelain, please note. Only kilns are capable of baking porcelain (oven).
Q: Am I, my family, or my pets at risk from the procedure?
A: Both humans and animals are unharmed by our procedure. We effectively seal off and ventilate the areas we’re operating in while also disguising odors using scent. For the first 24 hours, there will still be a smell. It’s usually best if you are not present when the actual spraying is being done because everyone’s sensitivity levels vary.
Q: Are your services backed by a warranty?
A: Yes. For three years, we offer a warranty against the finish on bathtubs, tile surrounds, and walls flaking or lifting on its own. Keep in mind that this is not the same as the anticipated lifetime of your finish. With the right maintenance, your finish can last considerably longer, just like a car will outlive its warranty. Chips brought on by above-ground collisions are not covered by us. It is your responsibility to get in touch with us right away if a touch-up is necessary and fits within the parameters of this guarantee. We will then complete the work and provide the supplies at no additional cost. There will be a service or repair fee if an issue does not fall within the parameters of this guarantee.
Maintaining & Caring for Tile, a sink, and a bathtub
- After the treatment is finished, the surface needs to dry out for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, carefully remove any paper and masking tape.
- All hardware, including drains, faucets, handles, etc., should be installed again within 24 hours.
- Using suction-cup bath mats is never a good idea! Any kind of suction cup might sully the surface.
- Never use an abrasive cleaner when cleaning. Following use, completely remove the cleanser. Use only non-bleach-containing cleaners.
- Shaving cream, bath oil, shampoo, soap, and other items shouldn’t be kept on the bathtub rim. These products’ chemical compositions over time may harm the finish.
- Instantaneously fix any dripping faucets. Premature wear and rust surrounding drains are caused by dripping water.
- Be careful not to spill any liquid drain cleaner when you pour it directly into the drain so that the finished surface isn’t damaged.
- If you clean and use the area normally, the majority of surface dust will disappear in 3–4 weeks. Avoid using your fingers to remove surface dust.
